Degree: Master of Arts in Digital Arts
 
 
Who can apply
 Higher Education Institutions Graduates with a Diploma in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Audiovisual, Applyied Arts, Architecture and relevant fields, of Greek or foreign Universities.
As an exception, graduates of other Higher Institutions departments can also be admitted, with the criterion of the
particular relevance and quality of the candidate's submitted artistic work and/or research, in the direction of the MA program

Duration of Studies

MA in Digital Arts is a full time program with duration of 4 semesters (2 yrs). Attending is obligatory. Part-time attendance is not yet implemented.

ECTS: 120 (30 ECTS in each semester)

The 4rth semester is dedicated to the completion of the MA final artwork and Thesis (30 ECTS). Thesis project consists of an Artwork in the field of New Media and a written thesis on relevant subject in the intersection of Art and Technology and Digital Arts and culture

Study Program

The study program of the MA in DIGITAL ARTs consists of Theoretical and Lab courses, whicj are offered mainly in Greek language.

Good knowledge of Greek (C1) is required, although students from abroad have been accepted sometimes with B2 level of Greek language, provided that they continue to study Greek language.

Most of the teachers can help by providing lectures and content in English and the written semester assignements and thesis can be submitted in English as well

3D design I (introduction to 3D design workflows and applications in contemporary art - foundation of tools)

2nd semester

Time-based media - Videoart II (multichanell videoinstallations and mapping projections in physical space)

Interactive Arts - Physical Computing II (sensors and human-computer interaction)

Digital Sound processing - Music technology II (spatial sound - sound scapes)

Language and Aesthetics of Cinema II

3D design II (Game engines and navigatable spaces in contemporary art practice)
